Everything you need to know about GhostFrame — the camera, the overlay, Pro, and your privacy.
Getting started
GhostFrame is an iPhone camera app that overlays a transparent (‘ghost’) version of any reference photo onto your live viewfinder, so you can match poses, angles, framing, and composition down to the pixel.
No. GhostFrame works fully offline and requires no sign-up. Your reference photos and captures never leave your device.
GhostFrame runs on iPhone with iOS 16 or later. The app is optimized for iPhone; iPad is not supported at launch.
Yes. The free tier lets you capture up to 3 ghost-aligned photos per day, with all core alignment tools included. Pro removes the daily cap, watermark, and unlocks HD export, saved collections, and the precision nudge pad.
Using the camera
Tap the image icon in the camera view and pick any photo from your library. It will instantly appear as a translucent overlay on your camera.
Yes. Pinch to scale, drag to move, two-finger twist to rotate, and use the flip button to mirror horizontally. The opacity slider controls how faint or bold the ghost appears.
The nudge pad is a directional controller that moves the ghost overlay by tiny, exact amounts — perfect for locking in pixel-precise alignment. It’s available in Pro.
Yes. Tap the lock icon to freeze the overlay in place so you can move the camera without accidentally shifting the ghost.
Pro & billing
Unlimited daily recreations, HD full-resolution export, no watermark, the precision nudge pad, and saved collections to organize your reference photos.
Pro is available as a monthly or annual subscription. Exact pricing is shown in the app in your local currency, and yearly saves compared to monthly.
Subscriptions are managed through your Apple ID. Open Settings → your name → Subscriptions on your iPhone to change or cancel anytime.
Open the Pro screen in GhostFrame and tap Restore Purchases. As long as you’re signed into the same Apple ID, your subscription will reactivate.
Privacy & photos
Everything stays on your device. GhostFrame does not upload your reference photos, captures, or any personal data to our servers.
No. Camera access is used only for the live viewfinder. Photo library access is used only to pick reference photos and save captures you take.
GhostFrame doesn’t include third-party ad trackers. See our Privacy Policy for the full breakdown.
