Everything you need to shoot better.

Short guides for every feature in GhostFrame. Start with the basics or jump straight to Pro.

Camera basics

  1. 01Open GhostFrame. On first launch, tap Allow to grant camera access — this is required for the live viewfinder.
  2. 02Grant photo library access when prompted so you can pick reference photos and save captures.
  3. 03Use the switch camera button to flip between front and back lenses.
  4. 04Tap the shutter to capture. Your photo saves to your library automatically.

The ghost overlay

  1. 01Tap the image icon (bottom left) to pick any photo from your library.
  2. 02The photo appears as a translucent ghost over your camera view.
  3. 03Use the opacity slider on the right edge to control how visible the ghost is.
  4. 04Tap the flip button to mirror the reference horizontally — helpful for selfies.
  5. 05Tap the reset button (circular arrow) to restore the ghost to its default position and scale.
Tip · Set opacity around 40–60% for the best balance between seeing your subject and the reference.

Aligning the ghost

  1. 01Drag with one finger to move the overlay anywhere on screen.
  2. 02Pinch with two fingers to scale the overlay up or down.
  3. 03Twist two fingers to rotate the overlay to any angle.
  4. 04Tap the lock icon to freeze the overlay so it stays put while you move the camera.
  5. 05For pixel-precise adjustments, enable the nudge pad (Pro) and tap the directional arrows.

Framing tools

  1. 01Tap the grid icon to toggle a rule-of-thirds overlay.
  2. 02Tap the crosshair icon to show a center marker — useful for symmetrical compositions.
  3. 03The horizon line helps you keep landscapes and architecture perfectly level.
  4. 04Toggle the timer icon to cycle between off, 3s, and 10s countdowns.

Pro features

  1. 01Nudge pad: move the ghost by fractions of a pixel using the directional controller.
  2. 02HD export: your captures save at the full sensor resolution with no downscaling.
  3. 03No watermark: GhostFrame branding is removed from every export.
  4. 04Saved collections: group your reference photos into named albums for later shoots.
  5. 05Unlimited recreations: the free 3-per-day cap is removed.
